Abstract

This collection of reviews covers four books on Vaiṣṇava and related traditions. "Vaiṣṇava Concepts of God" explores philosophical perspectives across different Vaiṣṇava schools, aiming for comparative theology. "Mahārāsa Mañjūṣā" offers a translation and commentary on Nandadāsa's Braj Bhasha devotional poetry in the Vallabha tradition. "Studies on Tantra in Bengal and Eastern India" presents essays on the intersections of Tantra, Śāktism, and Vaiṣṇavism. "Hare Krishna in the Twenty-First Century" provides a sociological analysis of ISKCON's history, beliefs, and contemporary challenges. The reviews highlight the books' contributions to their respective fields while also noting areas for improvement in scholarship and editing.
